Clinical Internship Grant

The purpose of the Clinical Internship Grant is to provide funding in support of prospective or current interns who are members of the Utah Association of Music Therapists (UAMT). Prospective interns must be completing their internship in Utah or have attended Utah State University. The grant is only available to prospective or current interns who maintain UAMT membership for the duration of their internship. Applicants may apply for the Clinical Internship Grant in any amount up to the total amount budgeted each year.

2019 amount for Clinical Internship Grant: $200

New Professional Grant

The purpose of the New Professional Grant is to provide funding in support of activities of new professional members of the Utah Association of Music Therapists (UAMT). The grant is only available to UAMT members who maintain their membership for the duration of the activity/project and have been professionals for 2 years or less (from the time of their initial board certification). Professional members may apply for the New Professional Grant in any amount up to the total amount budgeted each year. There is no limit to the types of professional activities that qualify for consideration. Applicants for this grant may not submit a Professional Development Grant application in the same year. Professional members may not submit more than one application within a budget year. If more than one application is submitted, those applications will be disqualified. 

2019 amount for New Professional Grant: $400.00

Professional Grant

The purpose of the Professional Development Grant is to provide funding in support of activities of professional members of the Utah Association of Music Therapists (UAMT). The grant is only available to UAMT members who maintain their membership for the duration of the activity/project. Professional members may apply to the Professional Development Grant in any amount up to the total amount budgeted each year. There is no limit to the types of professional activities that qualify for consideration. Applicants for this grant may not submit a New Professional Development Grant application in the same year. Professional members may not submit more than one application within a budget year. If more than one application is submitted, those applications will be disqualified. 

2019 amount for Professional Grant: $750.00

Webmaster Grant

We are excited to announce a new grant this year. The purpose of the Webmaster Grant is to provide funding for a CMTE class on WordPress to help develop the website of the Utah Association of Music Therapists (UAMT). The grant is only available to UAMT members who maintain their membership for the duration of the activity/project. This grant includes course access to “Online Zen + Word Press” taught by Kat Fulton of Music Therapy Ed. After finishing the course, the webmaster will serve a term of two years to help develop and maintain the UAMT website. 

2019 amount for Webmaster Grant: 

  • 15 CMTE Credits 
  • Lifetime access to “Online Zen + WordPress” Class by Music Therapy Ed (Kat Fulton)
